  Anniversaries

Many of us celebrate anniversaries of all different occasions such as birthdays, weddings,

engagements, relationships and more. There are numerous ways to celebrate an

anniversary from a simple dinner for two to an elaborate party with all the family and

    friends.

    Wedding Anniversaries

Remembering and celebrating the day that two people committed to a life together is

a special time. You may choose to celebrate your anniversary with a party, or simply share

the memory of the day between the two of you. Either way, an affective theme for the

day is to incorporate the traditional gift of the anniversary.

If you are in charge of organising a truly wonderful celebration for a couple celebrating

their anniversary, it is important to follow a few simple rules.

    What do they like/enjoy?

Plan the party around a theme that the couple will enjoy. If they are outdoor people,

organise a picnic in a national park for the immediate family.

Choose foods and beverages they enjoy that will fill their day with the pleasures they

    find in life.

Also consider whether they prefer small or large gatherings, you may wish to throw them

a large party however, they may prefer a small gathering with close family and friends.

How did they first celebrate their marriage?

Use decorations and colour themes from their wedding to incorporate into the party or

gathering that you are organising. Mark their milestone with symbolic gifts that capture

the couples time together. For example, make a photo album of all their years together.

Once you have established the above, you are ready to begin planning a truly memorable

occasion. Check out our anniversary celebration suggestions for inspiration and guides to

to planning different types of celebrations.
