Celebration Suggestions
Spend the day on a Charter Boat
Love fishing? Or do you just love the space
and serenity of open waters? Get some close
family and friends together and head out on
a charter boat.
A charter boat may be a great option for a
low key 21st Birthday, 30th, 40th or 50th
where
your celebration budget is a little higher.
If the cost of the charter boat is a little
out of
your reach you may like to ask friends and
family to contribute to the expense instead
of
bringing a gift.
Contact some charter boat companies for
prices and the number of people they are
licensed to carry and be sure to book early,
especially in the summer months.
Party Bus!
Hire a party bus and paint the town red with
a bus full of friends. Don't restrain
yourself
to just one place, get on the party bus and
tour the city stopping off and bars and pubs
to mix it up a little. Party buses are a
popular way to celebrate occasions so book
your
birthday date in as early as possible. Make
sure you warn your friends and check if any
of them get motion sickness, the bus is a
bumpy but very fun birthday ride.
Holiday with close family and friends
A large elaborate party can sometimes cost
more than a holiday. For your next big
birthday,
forget the party, just invite a small group
of close family and friends to a holiday
destination
to celebrate your special day. It will give
your loved ones an excuse to get away for a
little while and give everyone a great
opportunity to spend some quality time
together in
a relaxed environment.
If you would like to sip on margaritas and
lay in the sun on your next birthday, make
sure
you discuss it will family and friends as
early as possible. Give it at least 6 months
so that
the appropriate bookings can be made and
your guests have enough time to organise
themselves for a holiday.
Luncheon or Dinner
Many of us prefer a low key celebration of
our birthdays and what better way than
treating
yourself to a lunch or dinner at your
favourite restaurant. A luncheon or dinner
is especially
a common way to celebrate for all those 'in
between' birthdays, we tend to reserve the
big parties for the 21sts, 30ths, 40ths and
50ths. Invite close family and friends or
have
and dinner out with the friends and a lunch
out with the family.
Themed Elaborate Party
What a great way to have a memorable
birthday and crazy night of partying. Themes
really
get everyone into the mood and create a
certain spark of excitement at parties. A
theme
can be almost anything you can think of,
from disco to a sophisticated red carpet
theme,
there is a theme to suit everyone. Check out
our birthday party themes page for great
party
ideas, decorations and more.
Picnic at the beach or park
Is a casual day at the beach more your
style? Or do you prefer the calm and magical
surrounds of a park or garden? Pack a picnic
and head to the beach or park with a group
of friends and family. To make it a stress
free day for all, ask each guest to bring a
plate
of food or some drinks. You'll create a
great spread of foods with minimal fuss and
the only
clean up is taking the rubbish to the bin.
Alternatively, head up to the local
fish'n'chip shop to the beach and grab a
load of
fish'n'chips for all your guests. Or book
the BBQ at the park and pack snags, bread a
salads
for a park BBQ birthday.
Night out on the town
Dress to impress and hit the town with a
group of friends. Bar or pub hopping
followed
by cocktails and dancing at the hottest
nightclub. The possibilities are endless,
just choose
your favourite place to party, grab your
friends and start partying.
Surprise Party!
Who doesn't love a surprise? Well some
people don't, but a surprise party is such a
great
way to show a person that you care about
them enough to go to all the trouble of
organising a night to remember. A surprise
party can be tricky, especially when the
birthday
person is an inquisitive and suspicious
person. The best thing to do is warn all
guests as
early as possible that it is a surprise
party and for those guests who can't keep a
secret,
tell them to keep the night free, but don't
tell them about your plans. The less they
know,
the better and the bigger the surprise will
be for the birthday boy/girl.
BBQ at home
Invite family and friends around for a quiet
BBQ and a game or two of backyard cricket.
Fill some eskis with ice and beer and enjoy
a sunny afternoon with family and friends.
You might like to try adding a theme to make
it a little more interesting. A Mexican
fiesta
can be fun for a small gathering try a
casino poker theme to add a whole lot more
fun to
the occasion. See our birthday party themes
page for theme ideas, decorations and
more...
