Reception and Ceremony Venues
After when will we have our wedding, the
next biggest question is where will we have
our wedding? First it begins with the
ceremony, church, garden or beach? The
decision to have a religious wedding or not
will be based on your beliefs as a couple
and whether you would like to raise your
children and live your lives according to a
particular faith. Alternatively, you may
have always dreamed of saying your wedding
vowels in your favourite garden or by the
calm waves of the sea. Whatever your
decision, there is always a venue that will
grant your wedding day wish.
It is often a desire to choose a slightly
different location than the more traditional
venues to 'tie the knot'.
Head out to the Hills
A winery is a fantastic location for a
wedding. It gives all your guests a few days
our of the city who will then be treated to
fabulous food and wine. Your wedding will
feature a backdrop of stunning rolling hills
and images of your favourite vineyard.
Out to Sea
A cruise is a memorable venue with a
difference. You wedding can still be as
small or large as you like, it will all
depend on which vessel you choose to take
your party out to sea.
Weekend Celebration
You don't necessarily have to cram your
wedding celebration into one day, you may
like to hold your wedding over a weekend
filled with small celebrations.
For example:
Saturday Morning
- Champagne Brunch at a local cafe (be sure
to check whether the
cafe can accommodate the number of your
guests). Toast to the happy couple and the
opportunity for speeches.
Saturday
Afternoon/Evening
- Cocktails and canapés at a casual venue by
the
water with the sounds of jazz playing in the
background. You can spend your last single
night with the loved ones who will be there
to see you both take the plunge.
Sunday Afternoon - Your guests await
your arrival at a near by beach where the
ceremony will take place. Choose a reception
venue within walking distance from the

ceremony and have your guests escort
you along the beach to the reception.
After a light meal, cut the cake and then
kick off the dancing with your first dance
as husband and wife. Invite your guests
to the dance floor to dance the rest of
the night away.
